Columbia, Md - December 1, 2020 An affiliate of Kenwood Management Company purchased the Quarry Building, a 54,000 office building immediately adjacent to Route 32 in Columbia. The Seller was Quarry-32 LLLP, who had developed the property in 1986. 

In completing this acquisition, Kenwood utilized proceeds from its sale of 14300 Cherry Lane Court in Laurel, which closed just 12 days ago. Headquartered in Bethesda, MD, this acquisition represented Kenwood’s 27th property and brings its portfolio to nearly 1.5M square feet.

The property is 88% leased to 12 tenants including Gantech, Ernst &Young, and The Arm Group

The Seller was represented by Cris Abramson and Nick Signor from Newmark Knight Frank.

Kenwood will utilize Bethany Hobbs from MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate to lease the available space. Leasing efforts will focus on smaller tenants. The current availability can accommodate tenants ranging from 774 sf to 5,700 sf.

Kenwood plans numerous upgrades to the building, including common area finishes, parking lot rehabilitation, new exterior signage, and improved landscaping.
